The Jindal Trust Studentship awards are given by the Sitaram Jindal Foundation. Dr.S.R. Jindal and his wife Smt.Jamnadevi Jindal started it in the year 1969. Yet it has many objectives but Sitaram Jindal Foundation mainly focuses on:
- It provides financial support to maintain schools, colleges and centers of learning for the education of children
- To set up schools, colleges and educational institutions to provide knowledge and mental growth for each and everyone.
- Provide financial support to orphanages, old age homes and homes for rehabilitation where women are in distressed condition.
- Provide financial help for handicapped students.
To support brilliant students of low income group the S.J. Jindal Foundation has been giving the scholarships and financial to the students. These scholarships have been given to students for higher education , graduation, post-graduation degrees in the field of engineering, agriculture, veterinary sciences, medicine etc Those who performed extraordinary good in their academic careers the amount of scholarships may be increased. The S.J. Jindal Foundation also gives scholarships to academically sound girl students to prove their excellence and become economically independent.

Eligibility Criteria for the Jindal Trust Studentship:
The eligible candidates for S.J. Jindal Foundation scholarships are:
- 9 and 10 classes studying girl students
- Girl students studying in classes 11 and 12
- Arts, Science, Commerce, Pharmacy, Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Engineering, Medicine graduates
- Those students are eligible who got more than 65% marks in the courses mentioned or have passed the earlier examination in the first attempt.
- In 9 or 10 class those student girls must have got at least 50% marks.
To avail this scholarship low income group students have to give true proof of their income.
- The applicant should be citizens of India.
- The candidates should not be in employment, either part time or whole time or pursuing private correspondence courses or part time course.
Value of Scholarships
The scholarship amount is different and one can get Rs. 400/ to Rs.2,200 per month.

The student should be of low income section.
- The candidate should a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks
Duration
The scholarships are for one year and their numbers are variable.

- Parents’ yearly income
- Suitable reason for applying for the scholarship
