DCE SCHOLARSHIP

Once in a year University of Delhi awards the following scholarships.

Pandit Man Mohan Nath Dhar Scholarship is for deserving and needy students of undergraduate classes and not more than 2 in number value of Rs. 100 per month.
Inder Kohli Anand Kohli Scholarships for needy and deserving students who pass the Senior School Certificate Examination, New Delhi or alike and join anyone of the first degree Programmes in the Faculty of Technology. This 2 in number Scholarship of Rs 100 is given per month to needy.
Man Mohan Krishna Kaul Scholarships: The number varies from year to year and given to needy and deserving students who join the first year of the B.E. Elect/Electronics/ Mech./Civil Programmes and each one get Rs. 100 per month.


Smt. Savitri Agnihotri Scholarships is for those who join Ist degree Programme in any branch in the Faculty of Technology in Delhi College of Engineering. The number of Scholarship is two of 100 Rs per month.


Every student who is admitted to M.E. full time Programme will be awarded a Scholarship of Rs. 5000/ per month from the date of admission or beginning of orders whichever is later for a maximum period of 24 months subject to the rules made but to qualify GATE is necessary. It will be compulsory for students to undertake 8 to 10 hours per week related to teaching and research activity as assigned to him by the institute. This may include tutorials, laboratory classes, development and maintenance of laboratories, assistance in research and development activities undertaken by faculty members, maintenance and operation of computers and other central facilities, assistance in library etc. They are also permitted grant of Rs.10,000 per annum.


Every student is awarded a Scholarship of Rs. 7000/- per month admitted to Ph.D. full time Programme and if he holds M.E./ M. Tech and if he holds M.Sc degree will get Rs. 6000 per month from the date of admission, for a maximum period of 48 months subject to the rules made in this respect. For these students it will be necessary to undertake teaching assistance of B.E. classes maximum 8 to 10 hours per week. They are also entitled to annual contingent grant.


Financial Assistance from Other Sources
University Grants Commission also provides financial help by giving books, clothing, etc. This is disbursed on the recommendations of a Committee set up for the purpose in the college


Students can also get scholarships offered by the respective State/ Union Territories under the National Scholarship Scheme of the Government of India. Students can apply to the State Government wherever applicable for loans for pursuing their studies.
